Congressman Ron Klein
- (D -
District 22)
Sworn into the United States Congress on January 4th, 2007 to
represent Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, Ron is an experienced
leader with a solid record of service. He looks forward to working
in a bipartisan manner to find common sense solutions that will
improve the lives of Florida families in Congress.
As a Member of the Financial Services Committee, which has
jurisdiction over the insurance sector, Ron was asked by Chairman
Barney Frank to lead the insurance reform effort in Congress. Ron is
also a member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee promoting a
responsible foreign policy based on cooperation with our
international allies.
Ron attended The Ohio State University. In 1979, he graduated and
was admitted to Case Western Reserve University Law School, where he
received his J.D. in 1982. He is motivated to make a difference in
the community and help improve the quality of life in South Florida.
He is relentlessly committed to support medical research in
therapies and cures for cancer and other serious illnesses.

Congressman Alcee L. Hastings
- (D -
District 23)
First
elected in 1992 and most recently reelected in 2002, capturing 77%
of the vote, Congressman Hastings represents his native state of Florida by serving as
Congressman for District 23, which includes parts of Broward, Palm
Beach, Hendry, Martin, and St. Lucie Counties.
Congressman Hastings is a member of the powerful House Rules
Committee and is a senior Member of the House Permanent Select
Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). He is the Ranking Democratic
Member of the Subcommittee on Terrorism and Homeland Security. As a
Senior Democratic Whip, Hastings is an influential member of the
Democratic Leadership.
Known to many as
"Judge," Congressman Hastings has distinguished himself as an
attorney, civil rights activist, judge, and now Member of Congress.
Appointed by President Jimmy Carter in 1979, he became the first
African-American Federal Judge in the state of Florida. Throughout
his lifetime, he has championed the rights of minorities, women, the
elderly, children and immigrants. He graduated from Fisk University
in 1958 and earned his law degree from Florida A&M University in
Tallahassee, Florida.

Congressman
Tim Mahoney
- (D -
District 16)
Sworn into office on January 4, 2007 to represent
Florida's 16th Congressional District, Congressman
Mahoney currently
serves on the House
Financial Services Committee
and is the only Florida representative serving on the
House
Agriculture Committee.
He
is a member of the conservative
Blue
Dog
Coalition,
a select group of representatives focused on restoring fiscal
responsibility to Congress. He also belongs to the
New Democrat Coalition, a moderate group of
representatives focused on economic growth, national security,
personal responsibility, and technology development.
Congressman Mahoney has over 25 years of experience in the computing
and financial service industries. In addition to his successful
businesses, he is a rancher and a member of the Florida Cattleman's
Association. Congressman Mahoney holds a BA degree in Computer
Science and Business from West Virginia University and a M.B.A. from
George Washington University.

Congressman Robert Wexler - (D -
District 19)
A Democratic member of Congress serving his fifth term in
the House of Representatives, Congressman Wexler has earned a reputation as a
straight-forward and articulate legislator who energetically
advocates for his constituents.
Congressman Wexler's top priorities
are a meaningful Medicare prescription drug benefit for seniors,
ensuring the viability of social security and improving public
education in Florida. His legislative initiatives have covered
a broad range of issues including several health care initiatives,
enhanced benefits for veterans, equity for "Notch Babies" and
increased funding for public school construction.
Congressman Wexler
is a senior Member of the International Relations Committee. By only
his second term, Wexler was named one of the "50 Most Effective
Legislators in Congress" by the influential magazine Congressional
Quarterly. He earned his B.A. in Political Science from the
University of Florida and law degree from George Washington
University.
