Edward M.
Eissey, Ph.D. was elected to the Village
Council of North Palm Beach in March, 1998.
Currently serving his fourth term as Mayor, Dr.
Eissey previously served as Mayor in 1999, 2002
and 2005, as Vice Mayor in 2000, 2001, and 2004,
and 2006, and as President Pro Tem in 1998. A
past President of Palm Beach Community College
(its north campus is named for him);
Dr. Eissey is
a well known educator and has impacted the lives
of countless schoolchildren in Palm Beach
County. Dr. Eissey served Palm Beach County as
a teacher, Principal of Greenacres Elementary
School, 1st Principal of Howell L. Watkins
Junior High School, and 1st Principal of Palm
Beach Gardens High School. Dr. Eissey served
the Palm Beach County School System for 46
years.
In addition to
his work on behalf of the citizens of North Palm
Beach, Dr. Eissey is a member of the National
Board of Governors of St Jude Children's
Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
